sometimes I find beauty with my heart my eyes

there's this place named the Esplanade in my country. it's an arts central, shaped like two durians (silly, i know). sometimes there are art displays and orchestras performing there.

i went there yesterday evening, because it's been too long since i actually saw anything to do with art and my brain is rotting.

and i came across treasures.

(this was so completely unexpected that i forgot my camera, so you have to make do with my crappy camera phone. sorry!)

An exhibition from a group of three young women trained in different genres and disciplines in art. They hail from all over the world, and they collaborated in this piece by collecting these dresses from the dumps in their countries. Now, these 'used' dresses hang up high like lanterns, as art.

Perhaps it is an allegory on women.

Perhaps it is an allegory about recycling, about waste.

Perhaps it is an allegory for both.

(Or there's no meaning to this at all.)
